Aroma Hop

Citra® HBC 394 c.v. is a hop variety released in 2008 by the Hop Breeding Company (HBC). It possesses unique and highly favored flavor characteristics. Citra originated from a cross between Hallertauer Mittelfrüh and a father derived from U.S. Tettnanger.

Variety Details

The Citra® hop variety is primarily used for its aroma qualities. It is grown in the United States and has dominant aroma categories of Sweet Fruit, Citrus, Floral, featuring additional notes of Mango, Grapefruit Flesh, and Lime Zest. Well-suited for beer styles. This variety has wide distribution.

Beers and Pellets were evaluated using our Sensory Plus™ Trained Panel. Beers were dry hopped in a standard 2-Row Pale Ale at 2lb/barrel for 72 hours.
