Variety Details

Comet offers bright grapefruit and other citrus layered with berry, sweet fruit, grass and a lightly wild or resinous quality. Originally valued as a bittering hop, it has found renewed use as a dual-purpose variety because its late-hop expression fits modern flavor expectations. It works in pale ales, IPAs, saisons, farmhouse ales and American lagers where a rustic citrus accent is welcome.

Beers and Pellets were evaluated using our Sensory Plus™ Trained Panel. Beers were dry hopped in a standard 2-Row Pale Ale at 2lb/barrel for 72 hours.
