Variety Details
Chinook is assertive and complex, bringing grapefruit and other citrus, apricot, pine, spice and a distinctive woody-resinous edge. High alpha acids make it effective for bittering, while its recognizable flavor rewards controlled late additions. It is a mainstay in West Coast IPA, American pale ale, porter, stout and robust lager recipes.
Beers and Pellets were evaluated using our Sensory Plus™ Trained Panel. Beers were dry hopped in a standard 2-Row Pale Ale at 2lb/barrel for 72 hours.
