Variety Details

The sensory profile of Amarillo centers on ripe tangerine and lemon, with apricot, melon and wildflower notes. Moderate-to-high alpha acids and expressive oils make it a versatile dual-purpose hop. Use it late in the kettle, whirlpool or dry hop for citrus-forward pale ales, IPAs, wheat beers and lagers, or earlier for clean supporting bitterness.

Beers and Pellets were evaluated using our Sensory Plus™ Trained Panel. Beers were dry hopped in a standard 2-Row Pale Ale at 2lb/barrel for 72 hours.
