Variety Details

Columbus (CTZ) is a high-alpha American workhorse with pungent lemon and citrus, herbal spice, resin and a savory or vegetal edge. Its efficient bitterness supports early-kettle use, while late additions can create a forceful, dank and resinous signature. It is especially effective in West Coast IPA, double IPA, American stout, barleywine and other assertive styles.

Beers and Pellets were evaluated using our Sensory Plus™ Trained Panel. Beers were dry hopped in a standard 2-Row Pale Ale at 2lb/barrel for 72 hours.
