Variety Details

The sensory character of Cluster is restrained but layered, with floral, citrus and sweet-fruit tones supported by earthy, blackcurrant-like and lightly spicy notes. Moderate alpha acids allow it to serve as an economical dual-purpose hop without dominating a recipe. It is well suited to historical American ales and lagers, porters, stouts and balanced contemporary beers seeking subtle heritage character.

Beers and Pellets were evaluated using our Sensory Plus™ Trained Panel. Beers were dry hopped in a standard 2-Row Pale Ale at 2lb/barrel for 72 hours.
