Vista 2006009-074 was developed by the USDA public hop breeding program and released in 2021 as a modern American aroma variety. Vista is primarily valued as an aroma hop, with late and finishing additions preserving its most distinctive character.

Variety Details

Vista expresses melon, tropical fruit, pear and citrus with floral and light green-fruit notes. Moderate-to-high alpha acids make it flexible for bittering and flavor, while whirlpool and dry hopping emphasize its clean fruit character. It is well suited to pale ale, IPA, blonde ale, wheat beer and contemporary lager.

Beers and Pellets were evaluated using our Sensory Plus™ Trained Panel. Beers were dry hopped in a standard 2-Row Pale Ale at 2lb/barrel for 72 hours.
