Variety Details

Summit can show forceful citrus—especially orange and grapefruit—alongside herbs, resin and a savory onion or garlic note that varies with crop, lot and use rate. Its principal strength is efficient early-kettle bittering, although carefully selected lots can contribute compelling late-hop citrus. It is best suited to IPA, pale ale, stout, barleywine and other robust styles where dosage and lot selection can manage its intensity.

Beers and Pellets were evaluated using our Sensory Plus™ Trained Panel. Beers were dry hopped in a standard 2-Row Pale Ale at 2lb/barrel for 72 hours.
