Alpha Hop

Pekko ADHA 871 c.v. was developed through the Association for the Development of Hop Agronomy as a high-alpha American aroma variety; its detailed pedigree is not emphasized publicly. Pekko is a dual-purpose hop, offering useful bittering potential along with meaningful flavor and aroma impact.

Variety Details

Pekko combines lemon and other citrus with mint or menthol, sweet fruit, cucumber, sage and light tropical notes. Its alpha level supports dual-purpose use, while whirlpool and dry hopping bring the freshest citrus-herbal expression. It suits pale ale, IPA, saison, wheat beer and hop-forward lager.

Beers and Pellets were evaluated using our Sensory Plus™ Trained Panel. Beers were dry hopped in a standard 2-Row Pale Ale at 2lb/barrel for 72 hours.
