Pacifica™
Aroma Hop
Pacifica was developed by New Zealand's hop breeding program from Hallertau Mittelfrüh-derived material and was formerly known as Pacific Hallertau. Pacifica is primarily valued as an aroma hop, with late and finishing additions preserving its most distinctive character.

Variety Details
Pacifica provides orange and citrus marmalade, flowers and gentle spice over a soft noble-like base. Its moderate alpha acids make it a versatile flavor and aroma hop, with smooth bitterness available from earlier additions. It is especially effective in pilsner, Helles, Kölsch, wheat beer, saison and balanced pale ale.
Beers and Pellets were evaluated using our Sensory Plus™ Trained Panel. Beers were dry hopped in a standard 2-Row Pale Ale at 2lb/barrel for 72 hours.
