Variety Details
Nelson Sauvin combines white grape and gooseberry-like green fruit with citrus, tropical sweetness and a distinctive wine-like edge. Moderate-to-high alpha acids permit dual-purpose use, but whirlpool and dry-hop additions best preserve its unmistakable varietal character. It is especially effective in IPA, pale ale, saison, pilsner and other beers designed around vinous aromatics.
Beers and Pellets were evaluated using our Sensory Plus™ Trained Panel. Beers were dry hopped in a standard 2-Row Pale Ale at 2lb/barrel for 72 hours.
