Variety Details

The sensory character of Monroe is gentle and red-fruit driven, often suggesting cherry, raspberry and red currant alongside sweet fruit, flowers and light citrus. Low alpha acids make it primarily a late-kettle, whirlpool and dry-hop variety rather than an efficiency bittering hop. It is especially attractive in blonde ale, wheat beer, saison, lager and subtly fruit-forward pale ale.

Beers and Pellets were evaluated using our Sensory Plus™ Trained Panel. Beers were dry hopped in a standard 2-Row Pale Ale at 2lb/barrel for 72 hours.
