Variety Details
Its high alpha acids and strong storage stability are paired with green-grassy, herbal and spicy notes reminiscent of tomato leaf, bell pepper, lemon balm and tarragon. It is used primarily for efficient early-kettle bittering, where its aroma remains subdued. Herkules is well suited to high-volume lager and ale production and other beers requiring dependable bitterness and supply efficiency.
Beers and Pellets were evaluated using our Sensory Plus™ Trained Panel. Beers were dry hopped in a standard 2-Row Pale Ale at 2lb/barrel for 72 hours.
