Harvest 2026 Snapshot
The bines are in and the fields are clear: hop harvest is a wrap. Here's a quick look at the 2026 season.

It feels like just yesterday that our baby hops were starting to climb the twine, but here we are at the end of yet another harvest season. Throughout the month of September, our teams welcomed brewers and industry colleagues from more than a dozen countries—and poured through more than a dozen kegs of beer at our events, hoppy hours, and selection lounge beer stations. With full crop reports still coming together, here is a quick snapshot of our 2026 harvest activities:

At the Farm
Yields this year are expected to be about average despite a slightly cooler summer than normal. Adverse weather events in mid-September delayed picking of some varieties, but we’re happy to report that quality is still high despite the abnormal conditions.

Farm tours are easily a highlight for many of our guests. In addition to touring the beautiful Longmire Ranch, visitors were also greeted in the hop fields at the Golding Farm by Director of Hop Breeding Michael Ferguson, where they were surrounded by the latest results of our experimental hop breeding program. Groups pulled cones from up and coming favorites like HBC 1134 and got to see the latest named hop, TerraSurge™ HBC 1325. This impressive plant grows tall and fills out with cones from top to bottom—a true success of the program.

Intake and Selection
We were thrilled to welcome more than 300 brewers and colleagues from around the world to this year’s hop selection. With hundreds of hop lots assessed by our intake team, brewers had plenty to choose from, whether they were selecting for traditional lots or Next Gen hop selection.
Fun fact: Each one of the hundreds of hop lots we receive during harvest is evaluated, cataloged, and given key sensory descriptors by our sensory intake team.
Our selection lounges were stocked with Harvest 2026 gear, snacks, and of course beers brewed by our own Haas Innovations Brewery, as well as collaborations with friends like Brujos, St. Arnold, McIlhenney, Dudleytown, Hop Butcher, Varietal, Deschutes, and so many more. With styles ranging from a crisp, hoppy pilsner to hazy double IPAs and even a schwarzbier, we were so thrilled to taste everyone’s creativity and experience the full spectrum of what our hops and hop products can do.

Events
Harvest is hard work, but we always find time to have a little fun, too! Haastoberfest made a triumphant return, including a pop-up mini golf course, a beer puppeteer game, and of course a few stein holding contests. We took over a mini-skate park, held an epic air guitar contest, packed Single Hill Brewing to the brim with hop heads, reminisced about the days when C-hops ruled the world, and so much more. Words simply can’t do the events justice:
We hope you got a chance to visit this year, and if not, we hope to see you around the Yakima Valley next harvest!
