A brewer’s review of Haas exclusive, BRU-1™, in a new American IPA
Recently, John Kimmich, Co-owner and Head Brewer of The Alchemist in Waterbury, Vermont, offered some thoughts on BRU-1™, which is featured in their American IPA, Skadoosh VI.
BRU-1™ is a newly released hop that was developed by Brulotte Farms right here in the Yakima Valley. It is big and bold with a fruit-forward character (pineapple) that also offers clean bittering with alpha acids ranging from 13 to 15%.
