Irrigation and Fertigation Specialist

The person in this position is responsible to support farm irrigation and fertigation programs, soil moisture monitoring, and supervise assigned crews. From our farm fields to the glass, everything we do is to help brew great beer. This position is designed to help maximize the production of our farms.

Essential functions/majority of time spent on:
• Coordinate watering and fertigation schedules
• Integrate soil moisture monitoring, and current irrigation information to develop effective crop need-based irrigation methods
• Implement electronic water flow monitoring, timer based and/or radio valve controls
• Develop and maintain accurate electronic record-keeping
• Manage irrigation stations, suggest improvements to infrastructure, and lead implementation of improvements
Requirements/conditions of employment:

QC Manager

The person in this position is responsible for the development and implementation of all systems and programs related to quality control for the Haas Innovations Center and U.S. based laboratories. The Quality Assurance Manager assists in the development and maintenance of quality management systems/software (ISO, food safety, sustainability, business continuity, etc.) and provides analytical and technical support company-wide to ensure the quality of all products sold.
This position is crucial to successful operations and therefore requires a high degree of latitude and flexibility. Working hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Occasional night and weekend work, as well as travel, may be required, when special circumstances exist.
Must be able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen (and random drug screens once employed).
Required qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or related field
· Supervisory experience

Assistant Marketing Manager

The John I. Haas Assistant Marketing Manager will work closely with the VP of Sales and Marketing to develop and execute marketing strategies and marketing plans.

This position balances strategic direction and oversight with direct development and implementation of marketing campaigns and promotions, coordinating cross-functional project teams, and deriving insights from analysis to build customer relationships and improve our organization or brand’s market position and impact. This role also supports in-house and agency marketing efforts by analyzing customer and marketing research materials, assessing the impact of marketing programs, and developing innovative campaigns to drive brand and product recognition and growth

Duties and Responsibilities

Develop Marketing Strategies and Marketing Plans

One of the primary duties of this position is to develop marketing strategies in collaboration with the VP of Sales and Marketing and other senior business leaders. This position will work closely with sales, brewing solutions, sales administration, supply chain, finance and other organizational resources to develop ideas to promote our products and our organizational brand.

Direct Marketing and Promotional Campaigns

The Associate Marketing Manager will direct promotional and marketing campaigns across a variety of media types and outlets. This position will work with external agency partners to develop online ads or direct the development of branded content on the web or in print. This position will monitor and oversee these campaigns from inception to completion, ensuring that team members consistently meet deliverables and timelines.

Analyze Market, Customer and Competitor Research

Another major part of this role is to analyze market and customer research to derive insights to drive new marketing efforts. In this aspect of the role, this position will use a variety of strategies to gather and interpret information to improve marketing efforts. For example, they may conduct customer surveys or interview to assess customer needs .and the effectiveness of our solutions. As well, this position will monitor competitor activities and strategies.

Monitor Portfolio Performance and Budgets

This position will develop, monitor and report product & service portfolio results and budgets. Responsibilities include recommending product and service portfolio strategies, pricing and promotion recommendations and recommend marketing activities and expenditures. This position also monitors resource utilization and expenses to ensure that they remain on budget.

Brewing Solutions Specialist South America (SA)

Position Summary:

The Brewing Solutions Specialist will operate the 15-gallon brewery, and manage/execute the brewing trials using new hops and hop products. Additionally, he/she will be responsible for managing and supporting technical services activities in the Latin America Region, including sales support in product commercialization and management, external publications and presentations, and development of technical literature. Will work with the customers on hop products use, process optimization, beer formulation, and sensory evaluations. Travel is involved as well as special projects, customer activities requires occasional working during evening hours and weekends.

Associate Sensory Scientist

We are seeking a motivated team member to assist in the execution of our sensory panel focused on the evaluation of hops, hop products, and hoppy beers. The Associate Sensory Scientist will report to the Sensory Scientist. This is a hands-on position that involves sample preparation, panel set up, cleaning, and maintaining sensory facilities. In addition, this position requires using computer software for test building, data collection, data analysis, and report writing. This person will communicate frequently with sensory panelists and members of the Brewing, Breeding, and R&D departments.
